About The Place at Gilead
Owned by John and Michelle Edwards, The Place at Gilead aims to provide you with a venue for various
events in Hardin County, Kentucky. This wedding venue offers a farm-like setting on approximately 12
acres situated just outside of the historic Glendale area. The grounds here are boarded on one side by a
picturesque creek.

Details of the Grounds
On the property of The Place at Gilead, the outdoor spaces rest on 12 acres. The landscape here consists
of open fields and an area bordered by dogwood trees. There are many options for outdoor events
available, including popular scenes like the banquet hall. This hall features rafters and beams that remain
exposed with chandeliers and lanterns to add an elegant touch. The hall also features heat and air, front
and rear entrances, handicap accessible restrooms/handicap accessible parking, tables, and chairs, and can
accommodate up to 250 guests. This space would also double as your reception location.
If you need other spaces for events like cocktail hour at The Place at Gilead, you could request to use The
House or The Cottage. Additionally, suppose you want a place to get ready. In that case, you can use the
House, which is an A-frame home. It features a fireplace, a dressing room, three bedrooms, two
bathrooms, a living room area, a dining room, a kitchen, and sleeps six guests. The Cottage is a quaint
building with views of the creek and natural landscape. It also features a rock fireplace, farmhouse picnic
tables, viewpoints of the creek, heat, and air. The Cottage can accommodate up to 25 guests.
Photography Opportunities
As a wedding photographer, I’m always looking for the best places to capture those stunning wedding
photos. This venue is perfect for all seasons and offers an orchard area surrounded by blossoming trees in
the Spring, an array of blooming flowers in the Summer, maturing trees boasting Fall colors in the Fall,
and evergreens in Winter. In addition, you can also find locations for photos, including:

● Meadow/field near the barn
● Gazebo
● In The House/The Cottage
Wedding Details
The pricing for this venue depends on the event’s date, as there is an off-season (January to March) and
peak season (April to December) prices. Clients can add on accommodations or services, 250 white
folding chairs, 25 round 8’ tables, four rectangle tables, farmhouse tables and benches, heated and air-
conditioned buildings, indoor restrooms, bar, bourbon barrels, wedding arches, lanterns, and old doors.
